Hannibal wasn't a heavy drinker by nature, but on the island he was having a bit of difficulty dealing with some things. His ex being alive was one of them, although he knew that wasn't a permanent thing. Struggling to find a sense of purpose was another, but that was a bit heavy for him, so he was just going with the Danica issues for the moment.
One nice thing about the island, was the women were gorgeous. There were absolutely no ugly people here. There were also a lot of bad news girls here, which was just fine by Hannibal.
Take the girl sitting near him at the bar. Tattooed, morose, lean muscle you didn't get from a pilates class... trouble all the way and he was still trying to figure out what his first move was going to be.
