Rachel sighed and wound her arms behind his neck so she could pull him closer. Looking into his eyes she took another deep breath. "I am telling you, Aidan McCollin, that I want to be your girlfriend. That I care about you in all those silly ways they talk about in sappy love songs and it still scares me, but so much that I'm running away from it anymore."
She tilted her head a little and held up a finger. "I'm also letting you know I'm staying here tonight because it's late and I am not walking all the way back to my place after this. I'll couch it if I've completely freaked you out, but I'm really kinda hoping you take me to bed because I've missed you all night and I want to make up for that." She had no idea if that made things any clearer. She wasn't really the best at romantic gestures or admitting that kind of thing at all and she was making a total mess of it wasn't she?
