[There's a flash and the crash of an impact in some trees out by the forest and a bright blue light flares and dims. Through the trees, you can see Rachel standing up in an impact crater and dusting herself off, those with exceptional hearing can probably hear her cursing quite a bit. You get the distinc impression that this isn't the first time this has happened today. She starts muttering as she walks toward the device, which appears to be sitting on a stump.]

That thing can't cover the entire City - there's gotta be away around, or through, or... something. I have to get Kitty back home before... before...

[She stops walking and looks confused. She shakes her head and blinks several times. Her expression is pensive for a minute and then she seems to snap out of it and rolls her eyes.]

Oh, now I feel like an idiot.

[She fixes her eyes on the device.]
