Rachel's head hangs down and the scene shimmers. The memory isn't hers, but rather seen through the filter of Kitty's mind. Illyana, still young, but very obviously ill. An older version of Kitty sits with her along with a young woman Rachel only knows in passing. A Rachel huddles in the corner, alarm go off and Kitty begins screaming. There's a flurry of activity but it does no good. More scenes follow in rapid succession, both before and after, giving the story. Stryfe, the virus, Nathan infected - being set to the future, the creation of Stryfe (a life she hasn't lived, but for which she feels the guilt), and more.
