18 * [accidental video]

[The video feed opens on a darkened bedroom, sparse, looks like it's in one of the empty apartments somewhere in the City. There's a young woman on the bed, Rachel, gripped in a nightmare, tossing and turning. Suddenly, her eyes open and she sits up in bed, a blue, raptor-shaped aura flaring to life around her.]

Gram'pa! No!

[The aura fades as she buries her face in her hands. On her back you can just make out the outline of a black raptor underneath her top, it looks like a tattoo. With a jerk, Rachel looks up and around the room.]

...get a grip, Grey, Korvus isn't here, none of them are.

[She mutters to herself a bit more, some choice Shi'ar curses if you understand it, and finally spies the Network device recording on the nightstand. She stops and stares at it.]

Crap.

...Um, shit.

[She flares blue again and reaches toward the device. The feed ends.]

I suppose it's too much to ask that you all just forgot you saw that for a few more days, isn't it?

[ooc: Forward-dated to late tonight because I might try and sleep early (ha!), and a warm City!welcome-back to Rachel. Scotty and Chekov - feel free to realize that Rachel was the source of that energy you were chasing.]
