[Someone's going through papers on a desk. It looked like it had been organized, once, but that organization had been gone. Rachel's muttering to herself, obviously trying to find something.]

I know it's in here somewhere - who the hell was going through this place...?

...Jesus, where's Bobby Drake when you need an accountant?

[She sees a piece of paper and grabs it.]

Ah-ha! Oh, wait, this is from last month's payroll. Where's...

Holy crap, is this Goodfellow's old tab?

[She shakes her head and goes back to looking.]

[She shrugged, moving a few papers around.]

Okay, I mean, Kitty came back, Kara's still around, I'm kinda seeing someone...

[Kirk nodded, he knew exactly who she was seeing. And he knew she could do so, so much better, but that wasn't his place.]

[She considers. And smiles - despite the fact that she saw that look.]

[She took a deep breath and smiled.]

[He smirked at her.]

Exactly, running Lux will take a lot of time.

[She paused, thinking, it was a hard question to answer, really.]

Technically? No, but I have some memories of running a revolution for seventy odd years and founding a religion.

[Kirk gave her a puzzled look.]

[He gave a bit of a laugh.]

[She passed a few pieces of paper to him.]

Can you take a look at the schedules and see if they're still right? The last thing I want is to be the only bartender on Saturday night.

A hoot? What are you, from the 1920's?

[James glanced over the list.]

I think a few of these people have left, but I bet with the holidays people will be wanting to pick up extra shifts for some more money.

[Rachel's head sunk down to the desk.]

My suggestion? First thing we do is hire an office manager.

I know maybe four people in the City fairly well and none of them are qualified for this sort of thing.

[Rachel wrote a note on a piece of paper.]

You want me to be the one to tell them that we're running the place until... something happens?

[There's a slightly scared look on her face.]

I will do all the paperwork for a week if you do it.

[Kirk gave her a reassuring smile.]

You don't have to do that, I'll take care of it.
