i'm so excited, i'm in too deep [Hannibal]
[February 29, 2012]
Leap Year. With everything else, she'd somehow missed that it was a leap year and now she felt... slighted. This really wasn't her month and she was just to the point of waiting it out. Deciding that she wanted to date was one thing, actually doing it was another. She knew she was going about it the wrong way, that looking at every guy she came across while checking off a mental checklist of eligibility was not the way to pick out a guy. But then, she has never done this before. Ever.
Falling in love with Franklin had been as easy as breathing, they had known each other for so long that being in love was just.. natural. It fit. With Korvus, she'd gotten a massive push from the Phoenix Force, an instant connection that made her feel closer to him than she had anyone else in ages, once she stopped fighting it, that was. But she'd made peace with the idea that none of them were coming here and she wasn't going home anytime soon, so... she had to stop pretending it was all transient, try and make a go of it on the island, and - she didn't want to do it alone.
She was tired of being alone. Of seeing everyone else pairing off. Okay, so she'd seen quite a few of them end up with broken hearts, but for a little while, those people looked really happy. Rachel desperately wanted to be happy. Even if it was just for a little while.
But she was 0 and I-don't-want-to-think-about-it in the dating department so she just wanted the month to end. New month, new chances. In the meantime, she'd just park herself at the bar in the Hub, have a few drinks, and start wondering if the bookcase would give her dating advice books in the morning.

One nice thing about the island, was the women were gorgeous. There were absolutely no ugly people here. There were also a lot of bad news girls here, which was just fine by Hannibal.
Take the girl sitting near him at the bar. Tattooed, morose, lean muscle you didn't get from a pilates class... trouble all the way and he was still trying to figure out what his first move was going to be.
He was so fucked.

A day before, hell, maybe even a few hours before, she might have looked at him, taken a moment to try and figure out if he was single, gay, or any combination thereof, and maybe try to get to know him. But not now. She wasn't counting her drinks and she felt a little belligerent so instead of turning to ask his name, she simply stated, "You're staring."

"Tell me something. Is there something on this island that inhibits the urge to date, or is it just me?" She was genuinely curious at this point and emboldened by the drinks she'd had, she continued. "I never had problems getting guys to notice me back home, what do you think I should do, as a guy who might be single and hopefully isn't playing for the other team?"
no subject
"I have no fucking idea. I mean, personally, I would take you right here, right now, on this bar."
That earned him a glance from the bartender and Hannibal made a 'just kidding' gesture before turning back and lowering his voice.
"No, seriously, I would just sit you up there and eat you out until you scream, then just- look, I don't know the answer to your problem because I am definitely noticing you."
no subject
Or was it fate? Maybe she was over-thinking this, maybe she shouldn't be looking for a guy to date, maybe she should just look for a guy to have a good time with? There was nothing wrong with that, wasn't like she hadn't done it before.
no subject
He knew that hadn't been a 'please fuck me on the bar right now' kind of please, but he was willing to bet she would stop him before he got to that point. If not, then that was going to be one less bar he was going to be allowed to patronize anymore.
"Do you want your pants off before or after you're sitting on the bar?"
no subject
Crossing her legs she leaned on the bar, trying to figure him out and failing utterly. "Do I look like the kinda girl that's going to strip in a bar for the first finely-muscled man that pays her attention?"
no subject
Of course, Hannibal was the kind of guy that would do a girl in the bar in some instances, but if she was going to play strip chicken with him, she was definitely going to lose. Or win, depending on how you looked at it.

Finishing her drink, she set the glass aside, she hadn't been counting, hadn't been caring, but she was feeling reckless. Hell, and it was leap day, shouldn't she take one? She deserved to have a little fun, get a little action? Sliding off the stool, she stood facing him. "Think you can show a hot girl a good time somewhere?"
no subject
"But I think if you're willing to keep an open mind, and other open things, we can have a good time."
no subject
She shoved the little voice of self-doubt and sobriety back in her head. She was owed this. She was trying to do things the so-called right way and now she was going to try the wrong way. Or a different way, at any rate.
Seize the day and happy leap year.
"Get me out of here."
no subject
"Come on mysterious, hot stranger. Let's go get physical."
no subject
"What do you think you're doing?!"
no subject
"Besides, can't beat the view," he added, giving her ass a pat as he headed out the door.
no subject
She kept laughing as they exited the Hub. She had no idea where he was taking her, part of her didn't care. She knew that if things went south she was probably sober enough to stop anything bad from happening, but that wasn't what she cared about right then.
"Where are we going?" The part that didn't care wasn't quite big enough for her not to ask.
no subject
"And you have your pick, my hut, your hut, or the Speakeasy."
no subject
It was also a little uncomfortable being hoisted over someone's shoulder when they weren't saving your life. "And where's your hut?"
no subject
Of course, that might not be everyone's particular thing, but it was good neutral ground. Granted, he'd never been there are of yet so he had no idea what kind of shape it was in.
"My place isn't too far, but a piggyback would probably be more comfortable than this."
no subject
"I can walk, you know, I'm not that blitzed." Her giggles notwithstanding, of course. Although if he put her down she knew she'd sway after being carried like this.
no subject
Besides, this was a lot more fun, walking was so normal. She could walk anytime she wanted.
"Come on, piggyback ride. You know you want to."

Man was ripped. Like seriously, super-hero ripped and she was getting really curious to see what it all looked like without any clothes on.

Blowing a stray lock of hair out of her face, Rachel tried to figure out how to do this without falling over and basically decided to win it. She managed it... barely, but she managed it and once she had her arm around his neck she was able to murmur in his ear, "Did I pass the test?"
no subject
"You are very fuckable no matter how agile you are, or did you think your fuckability was in doubt?"
