Her sleep was, unsurprisingly, filled with nightmares and anxiety. The kinds of dreams she hadn't had in months where family accused her of letting them die and scores of enemies waited in the shadows to tear what little happiness she had apart. She ran through cemeteries and camps and ruined school halls and all the while she knew there was no hope, there was nothing she could do. She would awake, disoriented, crying and afraid and the only thing that kept her grounded was the feel of warm arms around her.

Aidan didn't leave. Every time she woke up he was there, even if she was pretty sure he was asleep, he was still there. And not once did she wake up thinking he was anyone else. It surprised the hell out of her, she thought at least once she'd think she was back on the Jammer with Korvus, but nope, she always knew it was him. She was glad for it, too even if she didn't want to think about why that was too much.

Eventually, she gave up on sleep, lying awake and watching the sun spill through the windows. At some point she'd need to get up, take a shower, eat something, but right now she just snuggled back against the warm body in her bed, glad it was there. Glad he was there.

"Can't say that's a bad idea." She settled against him, letting him hold her as tight as he wanted to. It was comfortable, something else that surprised her a little. She was comfortable being with him like this.

Pressing a kiss against his collarbone, she ran her hand down his side, just enjoying the feel of his body. "If you don't have anywhere to be."

"Mmmmmm, for you I'll clear my schedule," he told her, smiling at the kisses and the touch. He liked how she seemed to be learning, or at least getting more comfortable with things. This was definitely different than their last time together.

"Well, we have at least until lunch before anyone comes looking for me," she nibbled at his skin, "checking up on me. How would you like to spend the time?" Her hand drifted over his hip, trailing with the lightest of touches, just the tips of her fingers over his skin. Now that she had him here, now that he wasn't leaving she wanted... well, she wasn't sure what she wanted. Just Aidan, however they wanted to spend the time.

"I'm sure we can make enough noise to warn off anyone that might come looking for you," he said, gasping a bit at her touch. The lightness of her fingers was a sharp contrast to their earlier heated touches.

"And I think what you're doing now is a good start."

"I think Doc would die of a heart attack if he showed up and found me in bed with a sexy vampire." Which was a thought that made her giggle a little as she continued to trail her fingers over his hip and up to his chest where she started to press lips and skin over his muscled body.

And she continued with light kisses and nips down his body. "Then he'd come back and haunt me."

"I've got experience with ghosts," Aidan said with a laugh, arching his back as she kissed along him. The idea of someone coming in on them is amusing, and he's glad she was taking the entire thing lightly. Maybe she wouldn't if it actually happened, but at least she was able to joke about it. Considering how she was doing last night that was a definite improvement.

Aidan was the best kind of distraction, one Rachel felt good about losing herself in. Better than fighting, or drinking, although the long-term damage could be just as bad if it went sour. But she wasn't thinking about that now. Now there was just the taste of his skin against her lips and tongue as she kissed her way down his abdomen.

"Ghosts, hmm? On top of everything else, you're a ghostbuster?"

Aidan chuckled a bit as her kissing tickled ever so slightly as she made her way down his stomach. He liked it though, the almost lazy way she was doing it, like they had all the time in the world.

"I roomed with one back home," he said.

Looking back up his body, she rolled her eyes a little. "Of course you did." She lived with her figurative ghosts, he lived with the literal ones.

But that was a train of thought she wanted to cut off before it ever left the station. She didn't want to think or talk about anything serious as she licked a trail along his well-defined hip-bone. Definitely was staying in shape, wasn't he? She did the same to the other-side, intentionally side-stepping what she bet he really wanted her mouth on about now.

Aidan let out a groan as she expertly teased him, licking along his body. More and more he was loving this more relaxed, playful attitude that she seemed to have. This was something he definitely hoped he could get used to.

"You're evil, Rachel," he gasped.

"Not this year." She gave him another kiss low on his abdomen before she finally ran her tongue along the length of him, swirling the flat over his head. She did that a couple more times before she had mercy, and took him into her mouth, closing her hand around him so she could stroke as she roe and fell on him.

Aidan gripped the sheets tightly and struggled to keep from arching his hips up hard. Her mouth felt amazing, especially after the teasing that she did before and it was almost too much to take.

That was what she wanted, him focused on what she was doing so she could focus on doing it. It probably wasn't elegant, but she had enough experience to know how to make it feel good. Her lips and head fell on him, her tongue wrapping and licking him as she pleasured him.

Rachel smiled, pulling off him long enough to look up and catch his eye. As she stroked him, she licked her lips before she purred, "You look so hot right now." Aroused, aching and groaning all because of her. She liked that idea.

She took a moment to enjoy the feel of his hand against her scalp before she went back down on him, taking him as deep as she could. Remembering what he'd said, she started to go back, finding the places that had made him gasp and moan.

Aidan wasn't quite sure how she could find him so hot right now, especially when she was the one doing this to him. Looking up at him with that grin on her face and looking so eager, it almost hurt how back she was making him want to come.

When she went back down it wasn't much longer before he felt the pleasure build until he couldn't take it anymore. It was too good, she was too skilled and he lost it.

Aidan collapsed back onto the bed, gasping as he tried to catch his breath. His entire body felt distant and relaxed, almost completely spent. Closing his eyes and smiling, he enjoyed the feel of her kissing back up his body. He wanted her back up with him so he could hold her close and just enjoy her presence.
